CLASS 20E extends the window for high-inertia starts where acceleration time exceeds 10 seconds. Built-in voltage ramp and pump ramp down profiles let you tailor the start and stop to the load: voltage ramp reduces inrush torque on conveyors or crushers; pump ramp down eliminates pressure surges on discharge lines during stop. ## Fieldbus and network integration The base unit supports PROFIBUS, Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP, EtherNet/IP, and PROFINET — no separate communication module needed for most plant-floor networks. PROFIenergy is available when paired with the PROFINET standard communication module, allowing energy-management data collection during idle phases. Remote reset is achieved by cycling the 24 V DC control supply voltage — no fieldbus command required for a simple restart after a fault clears.
