It accepts 2-wire transmitters (loop-powered) and 4-wire sensors across voltage and current ranges: 0 to 10 V, 0 to 20 mA, 4 to 20 mA, 1 to 5 V, ±5 V, and ±10 V. The 15-bit resolution covers the standard process ranges; the ±5 V and ±10 V ranges get 16 bits including sign. ## Wire-break detection and diagnostics Wire-break detection is active on the 4 to 20 mA range — a key feature when feeding a loop-powered transmitter on a long cable run. Short-circuit detection is also available on the 1 to 5 V range and in 2-wire mode, covering encoder supply shorts to ground or an input short to the encoder supply. Diagnostics include a group error LED, a per-channel green status LED, and a combined green/red module diagnostics LED. Diagnostic alarms and overflow/underflow detection are built in; limit-value alarms are not supported. ## BaseUnit compatibility and panel fit Automatic encoding is supported, so the module ID is read on insertion without manual addressing.
