It uses an NPN normally-closed output, operating on 10–30 V DC. The prewired 2 m cable terminates in bare wires, simplifying connection to a PLC input card or DIN-rail terminal block. For a normally-closed (NC) sensor, the signal is present (high) when no target is present, dropping low when metal enters the detection zone.
