The A263010RT-81 is a 3-pole contactor from the A26 series, with a coil rated for 24/50/60 V. A contactor of this class switches power to motor loads, lighting banks, or resistive heating elements in a control panel — the three poles handle three-phase circuits, and the coil voltage range covers common 24 VDC control systems as well as 50/60 Hz AC supplies.
What to Watch for on the Coil
The coil marking "24/50/60" means it accepts 24 V DC or 24 V AC at 50/60 Hz, but the pickup and hold characteristics differ between DC and AC supplies. On a DC coil, verify the control transformer or power supply can deliver the inrush current without voltage sag — a common trip point for junior techs. On AC, the coil impedance rises after pickup, so the hold current drops; a DC coil draws steady current the whole time. The contactor's own datasheet should list the VA/W draw for each supply type.
This is a DIN-rail-mount contactor, sized for a standard 35 mm rail in an enclosure. The three power terminals accept cable lugs or ferruled stranded wire typical for motor circuits up to the contactor's rated current (check the nameplate for the exact AC-3 / AC-1 rating — that figure governs the motor load it can switch, not just the resistive rating). Leave a finger's width of air gap above and below for heat dissipation when the contactor is continuously energized.
