It's a current-production part (lifecycle stage: current), so it's still the standard line-item for new panel builds and BOMs.
What the C-curve means for your load
For a 25 A breaker, that's a magnetic trip threshold between 125 A and 250 A. This suits it for general-purpose loads with moderate inrush — think lighting banks, small motor circuits, and transformer primaries. If your load has a high inrush (welder, large motor), you'd step up to a D-curve; if it's purely resistive (heater), a B-curve gives faster protection. The C-curve is the middle ground, and the most common choice for mixed commercial/industrial sub-circuits.
