16 A, Curve K — what it means for the panel
Curve K is designed for motor and inductive load protection — it holds through the inrush of a motor start (typically 8–12× rated current) while still tripping fast on a hard short. For a 16 A breaker, that means it can ride out the starting surge of a small motor or transformer without nuisance tripping, something a Curve C or B breaker at the same current might not do. The 2-pole configuration suits single-phase or two-leg protection in a 230/400 V distribution panel.
