Compact loop controller for panel integration
The PXF4AEE2-MB1A1 is a self-tuning 1/16 DIN (48 x 48 mm) compact temperature and process controller with a 50 ms sampling speed. That sampling rate means it catches fast thermal transients in processes like injection molding or small furnace zones where a standard 100–200 ms controller would lag behind the actual temperature curve. The 1/16 DIN footprint fits a standard panel cutout, leaving room alongside other loop controllers or a PLC slice.
What the 50 ms sampling means for your loop
The 50 ms sampling speed is the controller's update rate for reading the input and recalculating the PID output. For a temperature loop on a 2–5 second time constant (typical for a small electric furnace or a hot-runner zone), 50 ms gives roughly 40–100 samples per process time constant — well above the rule-of-thumb minimum of 10 samples per time constant for stable control. For a process input like pressure or flow with a faster response, the same sampling rate keeps the loop from oscillating. The self-tuning algorithm uses those samples to set P, I, and D gains automatically on startup, so commissioning time drops.
