The Fuji Electric PXF4AEP2-0VKA1 is a self-tuning 1/16 DIN (48 x 48 mm) compact temperature and process controller with a 50 ms sampling speed. That 50 ms cycle means it catches fast thermal transients — useful on a kiln preheater or a plastic extruder barrel where a slow loop lets temperature overshoot past the setpoint before the controller reacts. Self-tuning sets the PID gains automatically on startup, saving the integrator a manual tuning run.
Integration notes for the panel builder
The 1/16 DIN (48 x 48 mm) cutout is a standard panel-mount footprint — fits the same hole as every other 1/16 DIN controller, so swapping an older unit into an existing panel requires no rework of the gland plate. Depth behind the panel is typical for this class; leave clearance for the screw-terminal block and any option cards. The self-tuning algorithm runs on startup, so the first power-up needs a stable load at the setpoint temperature to converge the PID coefficients.
