The PXF5ABP2-JVGA1 is a self-tuning 1/8 DIN (48 x 96mm) compact temperature and process controller from Fuji Electric's PXF series, specified with a 50ms sampling speed for responsive loop control.
The 1/8 DIN form factor (48 x 96mm panel cutout) is a standard panel-mount size for temperature controllers, fitting existing cutouts without adapter plates. The 50ms sampling speed means the controller updates its input measurement and output calculation every 50 milliseconds — fast enough for most thermal processes (ovens, furnaces, extruder zones) but not intended for sub-cycle power control on fast electric heaters where 10ms or faster sampling is required. Self-tuning capability means the controller automatically calculates PID parameters during initial heat-up, reducing commissioning time compared to manual tuning. For a process engineer, this translates to quicker loop stabilization without iterative step-test adjustments.
