Controller overview
The PXF5ABP2-MBCA1 is a self-tuning 1/8 DIN (48 x 96mm) compact temperature and process controller with a 50ms sampling speed. The 50ms sampling means it can track fast thermal transients — useful for injection molding barrels or small furnace zones where overshoot needs to be caught within a single mains cycle.
Integration notes
The 1/8 DIN form factor (48 x 96mm panel cutout) fits standard panel-mount enclosures. Self-tuning PID reduces commissioning time on thermal loops — the controller auto-adjusts P, I, and D coefficients during the first heat-up cycle rather than requiring manual Ziegler-Nichols tuning. The 50ms sampling rate is fast enough for most process loops; for extremely fast thermal events (sub-100ms time constants), verify the sensor response time matches the controller's update rate.
