What it is and what it does
The Fuji Electric PXF5ABS2-MVGA1 is a self-tuning 1/8 DIN (48 x 96 mm) compact temperature and process controller with a 50 ms sampling speed. That 50 ms cycle means it catches fast thermal transients in processes like injection molding or small furnace zones where a 100 ms or 200 ms controller would lag. The self-tuning algorithm auto-adjusts PID parameters on startup, so you don't need to run a separate autotune cycle — it converges during the first heat-up.
Where it fits
The 1/8 DIN cutout (45 x 92 mm) and 96 mm panel depth make it a drop-in replacement for older 1/8 DIN controllers in existing panel layouts. The compact form frees DIN rail space for I/O or power supplies alongside it. Rated for standard panel environments — no washdown rating, so keep it behind the gland plate in dry enclosures.
