Controller fit and sampling speed
The PXF5ACA2-MVVA1 is a self-tuning 1/8 DIN (48 x 96 mm) compact temperature and process controller with a 50 ms sampling speed. That sampling rate is fast enough for thermal loops on injection molding barrels, extrusion zones, or packaging seal bars where overshoot control matters — the self-tuning algorithm adapts PID gains during startup, so you don't need to hand-tune each zone during commissioning.
The 1/8 DIN cutout (48 x 96 mm) matches standard panel punch patterns. Depth behind the panel is typical for this class — allow clearance for the terminal block and wiring. The 50 ms sampling loop means the controller updates its control output every 50 ms, which is adequate for most process loops; for faster thermal events (e.g., infrared heating), verify the loop time constant against the controller's update rate.
