What it is and what it does
The Fuji Electric PXF5ACE2-FBHA1 is a self-tuning 1/8 DIN (48 x 96mm) compact temperature and process controller with a 50ms sampling speed.
What the ratings mean for fit
The 1/8 DIN form factor (48 x 96mm) means it fits the standard panel cutout for this class — you can drop it into an existing 1/8 DIN slot without reworking the panel. The 50ms sampling speed is fast enough for most thermal loops (ovens, extruders, packaging seal bars) but not for sub-cycle power control; it samples the process variable every 50 milliseconds, so the controller can react to a temperature upset within a few sample cycles. Self-tuning means the controller automatically calculates PID parameters during initial heating — you don't need a controls engineer to manually tune the loop. On a production line, that cuts commissioning time from hours to minutes for a simple bake or cure zone.
Where you'll see this class of controller
Temperature and process controllers like this one live in panel-mount applications across industrial heating — plastic injection molding barrel zones, industrial ovens, packaging heat-seal bars, food processing cookers, and environmental chambers. The 1/8 DIN size is a sweet spot: big enough for a readable display and terminal block, small enough to pack eight across a standard 19-inch rack panel.
Sourcing and lifecycle reality
Sourcing is straightforward through the standard Fuji Electric distributor network. We quote this to order against an RFQ — no surplus or broker channel required.
Integration note for the panel builder
The 1/8 DIN cutout (45 x 92mm per IEC 61554) accepts this controller with the standard panel clamp. Terminal connections are on the rear — plan for at least 100mm clearance behind the panel for wiring access. The 50ms sampling loop means thermocouple or RTD input wiring should be twisted and shielded, grounded at one end, to keep process noise out of the fast measurement path.
