What the sampling speed means for the loop
The 50 ms sampling speed means the controller updates its input measurement and recalculates the output every 50 milliseconds. For a temperature loop on a plastic extruder barrel or a reflow oven zone, that is fast enough to catch thermal transients without overshoot when the self-tuning algorithm is engaged. Slower 200–500 ms controllers will ride through a short disturbance; this one will respond inside the same cycle.
Form factor and panel fit
