What the 50ms sampling means for your loop
A 50ms sampling speed means this controller updates its control output every 50 milliseconds — fast enough for most thermal processes (ovens, extruders, packaging seal bars) but not for sub-second thermal transients. The self-tuning algorithm automatically calculates PID coefficients during the first heat-up, so you don't need to manually set P, I, and D gains unless you want to override them.
Panel fit and wiring
The 1/8 DIN (48 x 96mm) form factor slides into a standard panel cutout. Spring-cage or screw terminals accept 0.2–2.5 mm² wire; strip length 8 mm. The controller draws power from the control loop supply — no separate backplane bus needed.
