The 50 ms sampling rate means the controller updates its output every 50 milliseconds, which is fast enough for most thermal processes — injection molding barrel zones, packaging seal bars, or reflow oven profiles — without oversampling noise. The self-tuning PID algorithm automatically calculates proportional band, integral time, and derivative time during the first heat-up cycle, so commissioning a new zone requires only setting the setpoint and letting the controller run through one ramp.
