What it is and where it fits
The PXF5APR2-JBVA1 is a self-tuning 1/8 DIN (48 x 96 mm) compact temperature and process controller with a 50 ms sampling speed. It's a panel-mount instrument for closed-loop control of temperature or analog process variables — think oven zones, extruder barrels, packaging seal bars, or batch reactors where the loop needs to settle fast.
What the 50 ms sampling means on the line
The self-tuning algorithm (often a step-response or fuzzy logic method) automatically sets PID gains during a warm-up cycle. That cuts commissioning time on a new line — no manual Ziegler-Nichols trial runs. Just make sure the process can tolerate a few overshoot cycles during the autotune phase.
Panel fit and wiring notes
The 1/8 DIN cutout (45 x 92 mm per standard) and 48 x 96 mm bezel drop into existing panel holes. Depth is shallow enough for shallow enclosures — typical behind-panel depth for this class is under 100 mm. Spring-cage or screw terminals on the rear; strip length 7–8 mm for solid or ferruled stranded wire. Thermocouple or RTD input on the universal analog front end. The 50 ms update applies to the control loop, not just the display — so the analog output (relay, SSR drive, or 4–20 mA) refreshes at that rate. Verify the output type matches your final control element before wiring.
