The PXF5APR2-MBVA1 is a current-production 1/8 DIN (48 x 96 mm) compact temperature and process controller from Fuji Electric, featuring self-tuning PID and a 50 ms sampling speed. That sampling rate is fast enough for most thermal loops in packaging, plastic extrusion, or food processing — it catches overshoot before it settles into the product. The self-tuning algorithm reduces commissioning time on a new line: set the setpoint, let the controller cycle once, and it locks in the P, I, and D terms.
Panel fit and wiring notes
The 1/8 DIN cutout (48 x 96 mm) is a standard panel-mount size — fits existing punch patterns without adapter plates. The compact depth leaves room behind the panel for wiring bundles. For a panel OEM, the 50 ms sampling means the controller can be used in a cascade loop without introducing phase lag that destabilizes the primary loop. Standard screw-terminal connections; verify the input type (thermocouple, RTD, or linear process signal) matches the loop before wiring.
