The PXF5APS2-FVVA1 is a self-tuning 1/8 DIN (48 x 96 mm) compact temperature and process controller from Fuji Electric. Its 50 ms sampling speed means it catches fast thermal transients — useful on thin-film extrusion, injection mold cavity control, or any process where a standard 250 ms loop would let a spike slip past before the PID corrects.
Panel fit and signal integrity
The 1/8 DIN form factor (48 x 96 mm panel cutout) fits standard DIN-rail enclosures with a panel-mount bezel. At 50 ms sampling, the controller updates the PID loop every cycle — fast enough for most thermal processes, but if you are chasing a noise problem on the thermocouple input, check the shield first: a 50 ms sample rate will faithfully digitise any 50/60 Hz ripple that leaks past an unshielded run.
