The 1/4 DIN (96 x 96 mm) cutout is a standard panel-mount footprint — the controller slides into a square panel opening and secures with the supplied bracket, no DIN rail required. The compact depth behind the panel leaves room for terminal blocks and wiring in a crowded enclosure.
