Panel fit and signal integrity
The 1/4 DIN cutout (92 x 92 mm panel hole, 96 x 96 mm bezel) is the standard size for process controllers — it drops into any existing panel cutout without adapter plates. The 50 ms sampling means the input filter bandwidth is wide enough to track real process changes, but you still want shielded thermocouple extension wire if the run passes near VFDs or contactors. Noise on a slow controller gets averaged out; on a 50 ms loop it shows up as jitter on the PV display.
