Form factor and control loop basics
The PXF9AEC2-MVCA1: This is a 1/4 DIN (96 x 96mm) panel-mount temperature and process controller. The 50 ms sampling speed means it reads the input and updates the output every 50 milliseconds — fast enough for most thermal loops like ovens, extruders, and packaging seal bars where overshoot needs to stay under control. Self-tuning means the controller automatically calculates PID parameters during startup by observing the process response. That saves a commissioning engineer from manual Ziegler-Nichols tuning on the first heat cycle.
The 96 x 96mm cutout is the standard 1/4 DIN panel opening — it drops into any existing panel punch without adapter plates. The depth behind the panel is typically around 100 mm, so check the enclosure depth before committing the BOM.
