The PXF9AEE2-FBVA1 fits the standard 1/4 DIN panel cutout at 96 x 96mm — the same footprint as every other quarter-DIN controller on the market, so it swaps into an existing panel hole without rework. Sampling at 50 ms means this controller catches thermal transients that slower 100 ms or 250 ms units miss — relevant for injection molding barrel zones, reflow oven profiles, or any process where the thermocouple sees rapid setpoint deltas.
Self-tuning and process loop behaviour
The self-tuning algorithm auto-calculates PID gains during the first heat-up cycle — no manual Ziegler-Nichols step test needed. On a retune it re-identifies the process dynamics if the load changes. As a process controller it accepts standard analog inputs (thermocouple, RTD, 4-20 mA, voltage) and drives an output to the final control element — SSR, contactor, or analog actuator. The 50 ms sample rate applies across all input types.
