What does the 50 ms sampling speed mean for my application?

A 50 ms sampling speed means the controller updates its input measurement and recalculates the output every 50 milliseconds. This suits fast-responding thermal loads — small electric heaters, infrared lamps, or thin-film processes — where a standard 250 ms controller would miss temperature peaks and cause overshoot. For large thermal masses (furnaces, ovens), the 50 ms speed adds no benefit over slower sampling.
