DeviceNet gateway for E3X-DA-N amplifiers
The Omron E3X-DRT21 is a DeviceNet communications unit designed as an accessory for the E3X-DA-N Series photoelectric sensor amplifiers. It bridges the sensor amplifier bank onto a DeviceNet fieldbus, letting a PLC or scanner read individual sensor outputs and write parameters over the network.
Compatibility and fit
This unit mates with the E3X-DA-N Series amplifiers only — it is not a standalone sensor and does not work with other Omron amplifier families. The E3X-DA-N amplifiers snap onto a DIN rail; the E3X-DRT21 mounts adjacent to them and connects via the amplifier's side bus connector. The DeviceNet interface handles the node address and baud rate configuration, typically set via DIP switches on the unit. The network connection uses a standard 5-pin open-style DeviceNet tap.
