What it is
The Omron R88A-CRGB005C is a 5 m encoder/resolver cable in the R88A accessory family, used to carry the feedback signal between a servo drive and its motor-mounted encoder or resolver on an automation axis. It sits in the Sensors / Encoders / Encoder & Resolver Cables class, which means its job is purely to land the position-feedback signal cleanly at the drive — not to carry power to the motor itself.
Where it lands in the system
On a typical servo axis, the cable plugs the motor's encoder or resolver to the matching feedback connector on the drive, completing the position loop that the controller uses for commutation and following error. Because the cable carries a low-level analogue/digital feedback signal rather than motor phase current, routing wants separation from VFD power cables and from any AC contactor coil wiring — same rule as any shielded feedback lead in the panel.
