It delivers 7.5 Hp at 460 V with a continuous output current of 12 A under light-overload (UL) duty — the rating that governs motor sizing for pump, fan, and compressor applications where the drive runs below its thermal limit most of the time.
The 12 A light-overload current (UL) is the figure to match against your motor's full-load amps. At 460 V, 7.5 Hp corresponds to roughly 11 A FLA for a standard NEMA design B motor, so this drive has about 1 A of headroom — enough for moderate overloads but not for continuous operation above 12 A. The 440-480 V input range covers 460 V and 480 V nominal systems; the drive accepts 50 or 60 Hz line frequency without configuration changes. NEMA Type 3R means the enclosure is rainproof and sleet-resistant, suitable for outdoor installation on a wall or pedestal. It is not submersible (that would be Type 6) and does not provide dust-tight protection (Type 4/4X). For a pump house or rooftop HVAC unit, 3R is the standard call; for a washdown zone, verify the gland plate and conduit hub seals.
