What the K-curve means for your circuit
Curve K is designed for loads with moderate inrush — typically inductive or motor-starting applications where a standard B-curve would nuisance-trip on startup, but the circuit still needs faster response than a D-curve on short-circuit faults. Rated for 277 VAC and 250 VDC, with interrupting capacities of 6 kA at 277 VAC and 10 kA at 250 VDC. The 10 kA DC rating is notably higher than the AC figure — useful in DC distribution panels, battery circuits, or solar combiner boxes where DC fault currents can be severe. The single-pole form factor snaps onto standard DIN rail, occupying one module width in the enclosure.
