What Curve K means for your load
Trip Curve K is a magnetic-only characteristic that trips between 8 and 12 times the rated current. That puts it between Curve C (5–10×) and Curve D (10–20×). It's the right choice for motor circuits, transformers, and other inductive loads that draw a high inrush — the breaker holds through the start surge but still clears a hard short fast. For a 15 A rating, that means the magnetic trip kicks in somewhere above 120 A.
