Sensor fit & wiring note
The E2A-M18LS08-M1-C2: This is the long barrel variant of Omron's M18 shielded inductive prox, 8 mm flush-mount sensing distance at NPN normally-closed output. The 12-24 VDC supply, M12 4-pin connector, and nickel-plated brass case make it a standard drop-in for existing mounts. The NC behavior means the output switches off when metal is present; verify that your PLC input expects sinking (NPN) logic.
Mounting & clearance
Mounts via the M18x1 threaded barrel or a through-hole bracket. Shielded construction allows flush mounting in metal without derating the 8 mm sensing range.
