The Omron G2R-2-SNDI DC24(S) is a general-purpose relay from the G2RS series, built for socket-mounting in control panels. It switches DPDT contact sets rated at 5 A at 250 VAC and 5 A at 30 VDC, so it handles moderate pilot duty, solenoid valves, and small motor contactor coils without needing an intermediate interposer relay. The 24V DC coil pulls in firmly at nominal voltage, and the built-in LED indicator gives a quick visual on coil state during panel walk-throughs. With 8-pin termination, it drops into a standard 8-pin round relay socket (sold separately). The manual push-to-test button lets a commissioning engineer force the contacts during checkout without energizing the coil — useful when tracing a circuit or proving a load path before the PLC logic is live.
Dielectric strength is tested at 5,000 VAC between coil and contacts, and 3,000 VAC between contacts of opposite polarity — numbers that matter when the relay is used in a 230VAC control circuit where transient isolation is a design requirement. Electrical endurance is rated at 100,000 operations at rated load; mechanical endurance reaches 10,000,000 operations, so the mechanical life far outlasts the contact life under load in most panel applications.
