The K8AB-PM1 is a DIN-rail phase monitor that detects phase loss and phase sequence on three-phase supplies. It's powered by 115~240VAC and switches two SPDT (1 Form C) relays rated 6A @ 250VAC. The adjustable delay time from 0.1 Sec to 30 Sec lets you ride through momentary dips without nuisance tripping.
Lifecycle & Sourcing Reality
This part is discontinued per Omron's lifecycle status. There is no official successor listed in the evidence. For existing panels, source through surplus or broker channels; expect limited availability and no manufacturer support for new designs.
How It Compares to the K8AB-PM2
The K8AB-PM2 is the closest functional sibling — same form factor, same dual SPDT relay output, same delay range. The key difference is supply voltage: the PM1 runs on 115~240VAC, while the PM2 is rated for 220~480VAC. If your panel voltage is above 240VAC, the PM2 is a direct swap without rewiring. For lower-voltage panels, the PM1 is the correct fit.
Mounting & Wiring Notes
Mounts on standard DIN rail. The two SPDT relays provide independent alarm and trip outputs — useful for separate indication and control. Wire the supply to terminals A1 and A2; phase inputs,, L3 are for the monitored three-phase line. The delay time is set via a front-panel potentiometer.
