What it is and what it does
The K8AB-PW1 is a Voltage Sensing AC relay from Omron's K8AB-PW series. It monitors AC voltage on its supply line (115 ~ 240VAC) and provides two independent SPDT (1 Form C) relay outputs, each rated 6A @ 250VAC. An adjustable delay time from 0.1 Sec to 30 Sec lets you filter out brief sags or surges that shouldn't trigger an alarm.
Lifecycle and sourcing reality
This part is discontinued per Omron's product status. There is no official direct replacement listed in the K8AB-PW series. For a line-down situation, sourcing from surplus or broker channels is the only option — submit an RFQ for current availability and lead time.
Mounting and wiring notes
DIN rail mount, same footprint as other K8AB series units. Two SPDT outputs give you separate alarm and control circuits from one module. The delay pot is accessible on the front — set it before commissioning to avoid false trips on motor start-up dips.
