The C163MG160 is a TM-G thermal-magnetic trip unit from the ComPacT NSX100...250 range, designed specifically for generator protection. The 3-pole, 3D protected configuration suits three-phase generator feeders in industrial and commercial power systems.

Above that temperature, derate per the IEC 60947-2 thermal curve. The fixed 440 A instantaneous pickup (2.75× In) is set for generator fault currents, not motor starting inrush; if your load has high inrush, this may trip on startup. The long-time pickup (Ir) is adjustable from 0.7 to 1.0× In, giving you a 112–160 A range to match the generator's rated output. The fixed long-time delay (tr) of 120–400 s at 1.5× In is wide enough for generator thermal damage curves.
