The C25F42D160 is a Schneider Electric ComPacT NSX moulded-case circuit breaker, frame size NSX250F, rated 160 A at 40 °C in a 4-pole configuration. The MicroLogic 2.2 electronic trip unit provides LSI protection — long-time overload (L), short-time short-circuit with fixed delay (So), and instantaneous short-circuit (I). That means you get adjustable overload pickup and time delay plus a fixed short-time delay for selective coordination downstream, then instantaneous clearing for hard faults. Breaking capacity is 85 kA Icu at 240 V AC and 36 kA at 415 V AC per IEC 60947-2, with UL 60947-4-1 ratings of 85 kA at 240 V and 35 kA at 480 V. For a 160 A distribution breaker in a 480 V panel, the 35 kA SCCR gives real headroom for high-fault service entrances or transformer-secondaries. That matters for motor-starting or cyclic loads where nuisance trips on reclose are a risk.
The 4-pole unit with neutral on the left takes up a 140 mm width in the enclosure; plan your gland-plate layout and phase barrier clearance accordingly. Front connections both top and bottom. Connection pitch is 35 mm, which matches standard busbar and cable-lug spacing. Five accessory slots available for auxiliary contacts, shunt trips, or under-voltage releases. No earth-leakage module fitted on this variant — the MicroLogic 2.2 is a straight LSI trip without ground-fault sensing.
Compliant with EN/IEC 60947-2 for circuit-breaker performance and safety. Operating altitude 0–2000 m without derating, up to 5000 m with derating. Electrical durability is 20,000 cycles at 440 V at half rated current, 10,000 cycles at full rated current. That is typical for a distribution-grade MCCB — not a switching device for frequent motor starts, but fine for infrequent isolation and backup protection.
