The GS1PPBR3 is the body of a TeSys GS fuse switch disconnector — a 3-pole, BS-type fuse carrier rated for 315 A at 400 V in AC-23B duty (switching motor loads including occasional overload). The short-circuit withstand is 80 kA, meaning the body holds together under a bolted fault upstream of the fuses — the fuses themselves clear the energy.
Mounts on a rail or plate; the operating handle is on the right side. Dimensions are 271 mm wide by 205 mm high by 149 mm deep — factor the depth into enclosure gland-plate clearance. Power connections are via bars or screw terminals accepting 185…240 mm² flexible cable. Control-circuit and power-circuit terminals both torque to 25 N·m. IP20 with the terminal cover fitted (finger-safe, not washdown).
The GS1PPBR3 is officially obsolete per the manufacturer. If the design can absorb a parametric substitute, a current-production TeSys GS body with matching pole count, fuse type, and 315 A rating should be evaluated; the manufacturer's documentation for the GS1P family is the starting point for cross-referencing.
Designed to IEC 60269-1 (fuse), IEC 60269-2 (fuse for industrial applications), and IEC 60947-3 (switch-disconnectors). The body and fuse cover pass glow-wire tests at 960 °C and 850 °C respectively per IEC 60695-2-1. Rated insulation voltage 800 V AC, impulse withstand 8 kV. Protective treatment TH (tropicalised) for humid environments.
