What it is and what it does
The Telemecanique XS1M08PA370 is an 8 mm diameter inductive proximity sensor with a 1.5 mm sensing range. Output is PNP normally open. It runs on 12 to 48 VDC and switches up to 200 mA. Cable is 3-wire, 2 meters long. Metal housing and IP67 rating mean it shrugs off coolant splash, dust, and the general grime you find on rotating equipment. Temperature range goes from -25 to 80 °C, so it will sit happily next to a hot bearing housing without complaint.
