The MPS-032THTP0 is a magnetic cylinder sensor from the SICK MPS-T series, designed to detect the position of a magnet inside a pneumatic cylinder. It switches at up to 1 kHz, which keeps up with fast-cycling actuators on pick-and-place or packaging lines. The 1.5 s release time is the interval the sensor holds its output after the magnet leaves the detection zone — a timing constraint to note if your safety circuit relies on a fast drop-out. Rated for 15-30 VDC supply, it fits standard 24 VDC control systems without a separate regulator. The M8 4-pin connector mates to common field cables; no special wiring harness needed. IP67 means the sensor body and connector seal against washdown and coolant spray — suitable for food processing, automotive machining, or any line where hoses are used for cleaning.
The sensor body measures 13.6 mm wide by 13.6 mm tall by 45 mm long — a compact cube that slides into standard T-slot cylinder grooves or mounts with a bracket. The M8 connector projects from one end, so allow clearance for the mating cable bend radius.
Rated for -20 °C to 70 °C operating temperature, covering most indoor industrial environments. Shock resistance of 30 g means it survives the mechanical impacts common on pneumatic actuators without false-triggering or damage.
