The SICK WL9-3P2232 is a W9-series retro-reflective photoelectric sensor with a 5 m sensing range using a visible red PinPoint LED. It switches PNP, light/dark selectable, and responds in 500 µs — fast enough for counting or positioning on a moderate-speed line. Housed in a compact 12.2 mm wide package with an M8 4-pin connector, it's built for tight machine frames or conveyor side-mounts where space is at a premium. The IP66/IP67/IP69K rating means it handles high-pressure washdown and caustic cleaning cycles — food-and-bev or washdown zones are right where this sensor earns its keep.
Runs on 10–30 VDC and sinks 100 mA max, so it plays nicely with standard PLC inputs or a separate PNP load.
