The SICK WL9G-3P2432 is a photoelectric retro-reflective sensor from the W9 series, using a visible red PinPoint LED to detect objects at up to 5 m. The 12.2 mm wide housing fits tight spots on a conveyor frame or machine guarding gate where a bigger barrel sensor won't squeeze in. Rated IP66, IP67, and IP69K, this sensor survives washdown cycles at high pressure and temperature — common in food, beverage, and pharmaceutical lines where caustic cleaning agents are routine.
Mounting and connection
The M12, 4-pin connector mates to standard field-wireable cordsets or pre-molded cables. No pigtail to dress inside a junction box — just plug and torque to 0.6 Nm. The 12.2 mm wide body fits a 15 mm pitch on a DIN rail adapter or a simple bracket. Operating range from -40 °C to 60 °C covers cold storage and hot wash zones without derating. Supply voltage spans 10–30 VDC, so it works on 12 V or 24 V control systems without a separate regulator.
