The SICK WLG4S-3P2232 is a photoelectric retro-reflective sensor from the W4S-3 series, using a red LED light source to detect objects up to 3 m from the reflector. Its PNP output switches at 500 µs, which is fast enough for part-present detection on a conveyor or gate position on a packaging line without missing a beat. Rated 10–30 VDC and 100 mA load, it runs off standard 24 VDC sensor supplies common in industrial cabinets.
Fit and deployment context
The housing measures 12 mm wide, 17 mm high, and 42 mm long — slim enough to tuck into tight spots on a machine frame or conveyor rail. IP67 protection means it handles washdown and dust, so it'll survive out here in the grease on a rotating-equipment route as long as the M8 connector is properly mated. The 4-pin M8 connector plugs into standard sensor cables; no special wiring harness needed.
