The SICK WT 30-02 is a photoelectric sensor with a fixed 30 mm sensing distance, using a visible red LED light source. The IP65 enclosure means it can handle washdown or outdoor splashes — the optics and body are sealed against dust and low-pressure water jets. Response time is ≤ 15 ms, which is adequate for discrete object detection on conveyor or packaging lines where the target passes at moderate speed.
Adjustment is via a potentiometer. Switching mode is selectable between light-on and dark-on. Terminal connection uses a PG9 cable gland. Supply voltage is 30 V DC, power draw ≤ 80 mA.
