Part identity and panel fit
Switching frequency maxes out at 1 000 cycles per hour for AC-1, AC-2, and AC-3 duty — that's about one operation every 3.6 seconds, typical for conveyor or pump cycling. AC-4 (plugging / inching) drops to 300 cycles per hour because the contact wear is higher. Screw terminals accept solid or stranded wire from 1 to 10 mm², and dual-wire terminations are supported (2x 0.5–1.5 mm² or 2x 0.75–2.5 mm²).
Mounting and wiring considerations
Clearance requirements are modest — 10 mm upwards, downwards, and forwards; 6 mm at the sides. The main contact screw terminals accept wire sizes 1–10 mm² solid or stranded, with a recommended tightening torque likely standard for the M3.5/M4 screw size (verify on the datasheet label). No auxiliary switch block is fitted as standard — the 3RT2023-1AL24-3MA0 ships without one, so order a separate SIRIUS auxiliary contact block if you need feedback for the PLC.
