The 4-pole design (4P) switches all four conductors; note that the neutral conductor is not switched separately (no neutral switching), so the breaker handles the full 4-pole isolation in a single unit. Breaking capacity is rated at 10 kA per EN 60898-1 and 35 kA per IEC 60947-2 / UL1077. The breaker carries a pollution degree 3 rating and overvoltage category III, meaning it's designed for fixed installations inside an enclosure where conductive pollution (dust, moisture) is possible — standard for industrial control panels.
The 4 A rating is at 35 °C. At higher ambient temperatures inside a panel, the continuous current must be derated: 3.81 A at 40 °C, 3.71 A at 45 °C, 3.61 A at 50 °C, 3.5 A at 55 °C, and 3.39 A at 60 °C. If the panel ambient runs at 50 °C, the breaker's effective rating drops to 3.61 A — factor that into the load calculation. The breaker occupies 4 modular width units (each 18 mm wide, so 72 mm total width).
