The Siemens 6GK1900-0AQ00 is a C-PLUG removable data storage medium for SCALANCE devices with a PLUG slot. Its job is to store configuration, engineering, and application data so that if a device fails, you swap the C-PLUG into the replacement unit and the line comes back up without re-commissioning from scratch. Conformal coating is standard — it handles condensation and light chemical exposure better than an uncoated card.
Sizing and storage
Physically it measures 24.3 mm wide, 17 mm tall, and only 8.1 mm deep — small enough to tuck into a tight control panel or sit flush in the device slot. The internal flash holds 32 Mibyte, which covers typical configuration and application files for a SCALANCE switch or router. No KEY-PLUG features; this is a straight data carrier.
Environmental limits
Rated for operation from -40 °C to +75 °C, with storage and transport tolerating -40 °C to +80 °C. Protection class IP20 means it's intended for use inside a cabinet — no washdown tolerance. The C-PLUG slot on the host device provides the IP rating at the interface.
