The Siemens 6GT2811-6AB20-4AA0 is an RF600-series UHF RFID reader operating in the 920 to 924 MHz band with a standard read range of 4 m — extendable per the RF600 System Manual. It supports DCP and LLDP for network discovery and configuration, and includes 4 digital inputs and 4 digital outputs for direct integration with a PLC or conveyor controller. Power is 24 V DC via an 8-pin M12 connector; typical draw is 0.37 A, maximum 2 A. The reader mounts on 35 mm top-hat rail or S7-300/1200/1500 profile rail, or via VESA 100 with 4 x M4 screws.
Mounting and antenna setup
The reader supports up to 4 external antennas via RP-TNC connectors, with cable lengths from 1 m to 40 m. The mounting kit for top-hat or profile rail is included in the carton — no separate bracket order needed. The housing is aluminum and Pocan, sized 258 x 258 x 80 mm, with a silver/TI-Grey finish.
