What this reader is and what it does
The Siemens 6GT2811-6CA10-4AA0 is an RF600-series UHF RFID reader operating in the 916-920 MHz band, with a maximum read range of 8 m and adjustable transmit power from 3 to 1000 mW. It supports both PROFINET IO and EtherNet/IP fieldbuses natively, plus OPC UA for higher-level data exchange. The reader includes 4 digital inputs for external triggers or sensor feedback, and communicates over TCP/IP with DCP and LLDP for network discovery and configuration.
Where it goes and how it mounts
This reader mounts via VESA 100 (4x M4 screws), on 35 mm top-hat DIN rail, or on S7-300 profile rails. The IP65-rated aluminum and Pocan housing handles washdown environments. Power comes through an M12 8-pin connector at 24 V DC (typical draw 0.38 A, max 2 A).
