8 mm sensing range, M12 barrel, PNP NO
The E2A-M12KN08-M1-B3: The E2A-M12KN08-M1-: The Omron E2A-M12KN08-M1- is an M12 shielded inductive proximity sensor with an 8 mm sensing distance on mild steel. This is the standard flush-mount range for an M12 barrel — the sensing face sits flush with the mounting surface and detects ferrous targets at that gap. The PNP normally-open output pulls high when a target enters the field, which is the typical wiring for a PLC sinking input module.
Output type and wiring
This sensor provides a PNP normally-open (NO) output. Three-wire DC configuration: brown (V+), blue (V-), black (output). The PNP output sources current to the load when the target is present, so it mates directly with sinking (NPN) PLC input cards without a pull-up resistor.
