4 mm sensing distance — what it buys the line
The Omron E2A-M12LS04-M1-C1 is a shielded M12 inductive proximity sensor with a 4 mm sensing distance on mild steel.
The M12 barrel threads into a standard 12 mm mounting hole; the shielded design lets it be flush-mounted in steel without derating the sensing range. The PNP NO output pulls high when the target is present, which mates directly with most PLC digital input modules without a pull-down resistor.
