What it is
This Omron E2AM18LS08WPC1 is a standard M18 inductive proximity switch. It gives you an 8mm sensing range, a NPN normally-open output, and a 2m cable. Runs on 12/24 VDC, draws 10 mA max, and the brass body with IP67 means it'll hold up in wet or dusty machine environments. Operating temperature spans -40 to 70°C, so it handles both cold storage and hot motor compartments. The NPN/NO output is a common sinking interface – works straight into most PLC input cards that expect a dry contact signal.
